Joshua vs Dubois: AJ heavier than champion for world title fight at Wembley

Joshua beats Dubois on points, retains heavyweight titles

Anthony Joshua weighed in heavier than Daniel Dubois ahead of their world heavyweight title fight at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Joshua, who is defending his WBA, IBF and WBO belts, tipped the scales at 17st 2lbs 3oz (109.6kg), while Dubois came in at 17st 1lb 2oz (109.1kg).

It is the first time in his professional career that Joshua has weighed in heavier than his opponent.

Joshua: 'I'm ready for a war'

"I'm ready for a war," said Joshua. "I'm not going to stand here and talk a lot of trash, I'm just going to do what I do best - fight.

"Dubois is a young, hungry fighter but I'm confident in my abilities and I'm going to put on a show for the fans."

Dubois, who is the WBO mandatory challenger, said: "I'm not surprised that Joshua is heavier than me, he's a big guy.

"But I'm not worried about that, I'm confident in my own strength and power.

"I'm going to go out there and give it my all, and I believe I can beat Joshua."

The fight is expected to be a close and competitive affair, with both fighters having their strengths and weaknesses.

Joshua is the more experienced fighter, having fought in 25 professional fights and won 24 of them.

However, Dubois is the younger fighter and is seen as one of the most promising heavyweights in the world.

The fight will be live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and on DAZN in the US.
