Indiana Fever Wins 2024 WNBA Draft Lottery

Clark Selected First Overall by Indiana

New Faces Head to the League

The 2024 WNBA draft has concluded, and the Indiana Fever have emerged victorious in the lottery, securing the first overall pick. With this selection, the Fever have chosen two-time Naismith College Player of the Year Caitlin Clark.

Clark, a standout guard from the University of Iowa, has been a dominant force in collegiate basketball. She has led the NCAA in scoring and assists in each of the past two seasons, earning numerous accolades and awards.

The Fever, who finished with the league's worst record in 2023, will be hoping that Clark can provide an immediate boost to their struggling franchise. She is expected to make an impact on both ends of the court, with her exceptional shooting, ball-handling, and defensive skills.

The rest of the first round saw several other highly touted prospects find their new homes. The Las Vegas Aces selected Aaliyah Boston from South Carolina with the second pick, while the Minnesota Lynx chose Diamond Miller from Maryland with the third pick. The New York Liberty selected Cameron Brink from Stanford fourth, and the Dallas Wings rounded out the top five by drafting Charli Collier from Texas.
